About Membership

Membership Information

Fandango Events are open to Members Only. Have a look at this link at our Current Membership Policy below for a more detailed explanation of why we chose this path. In a nutshell, if you are interested in attending our events you must be a member.

Fandango Farms events are open to our community exclusively. As a member of our community you will have received a "Pass Phrase". If you do not have a "Pass Phrase" Please see the next section on how to obtain one. Basically, our community is building the community. The pass phrase is passed on through word of mouth and has to come from someone who knows you personally. Be patient, ask amongst your friends and find someone who is a part of the Fandango Community already.

If you are unable to find an existing Fandango Farms member, send us an email detailing who you are and why you would like to be a member.

We have intentionally excluded certain officials from joining our community, please seebelow under the Freedom of Assembly section.

How Do I Get A Pass Phrase?

REGISTRATION HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR AWHILE: WHAT IS THE NEW PLAN?

Basically, our community is building the community. The passphrase is passed on through word of mouth and has to come from someone who knows you personally. Be patient, ask amongst your friends and find someone who is a part of the Fandango Community already.

Our community members believe in:

  • Gathering; as a community to celebrate, music, dance, art, & creative self expression.
  • Choosing love, gratitude, and respect for all life, as my guiding principals.
  • Doing their part to keep the Fandango Community and Fandango events a safe and loving experience.

Best of luck and hope to see you at our next event!

Love and Light,
Ed and LeRae

Current Member Policy

We do not intend to stop having gatherings, but we want to return to how things started, private, word of mouth, pot-luck based gatherings, which take place in a safe and loving environment.

So we are going to make some changes:

  • There will no longer be public notices (flyers, etc...) for our future events.
  • We will have an 'Events' section on the website for our members.
  • Our Facebook page will be private.

It will work like this:

  • I will give the pass phrase to anyone I know personally, and they are free to give it to anyone they know personally.
  • This invitation process, of person to person, heart to heart, I am calling “Interconnectedness” A sort of 6 degrees of separation thing. The web of life!
  • We will email you as any events come up.
  • We hope to hold one or two fundraisers events each year.

Pass phrases have been sent out. If you did not receive one and would like to join our community, please ask your friends. We are a community building a community.

Love and Light,
Ed and LeRae

Under 19 Policy

As a general rule, all of our Fandango Events are for people 19 or older, the age of consent. There are however some exceptions to this policy.

17 and 18 Years of Age:

If you are 17 or 18 years of age and you want to attend Fandango events. We offer two options:

  • Become a volunteer, have your parent(s) sign an “Informed Consent” form or download and print the PDF file. Becoming a volunteer is a process and we have very few places available. So, there is no guarantee that we can accommodate you.
  • If your parents are Fandango members, they can attend one event with you and then sign the Informed Consent form so you can attend on your own.

16 Years of Age and Younger:

You can only attend Fandango events if you are with your parents and the event is 'family friendly'.

Freedom of Assembly

First let me offer my respect for the hard and sometimes thankless job, done by those who keep our streets safe and provide us with good governance at all levels.

My issue is this, I believe that all humans are born free willed beings. When we choose to govern ourselves, it is with the intention that we will secure our ability, and our right, to live happy and fulfilling lives, free from unwarranted interference.

When governments and the agents of governments start to erode or in some cases directly challenge our basic rights and freedoms there is something wrong with the picture.

We have found that our ability to assemble as a community of like minded beings in a peaceful and harmonious manner, respectful of our neighbours, has been directly opposed by the RCMP, the RDNO, and the ALR.

In my discussion and interactions with individuals in these agency's, the attitudes I encountered, were just terrible and uncompromisingly unhelpful.

It is not acceptable for public servants to project their opinions, speculations, and moral judgements on there constituents life styles and to use relatively minor bylaws and other statues to suppress our basic right to freedom of assembly.

Consequently we have chosen to bar these organizations and their agents from becoming members of our website.
